The recent takeover of NSN by Nokia has been completed now. Nokia Siemens Networks(NSN) was the joint venture setup in 2007 between Nokia and Simemens. Nokia recently acquired the 50% stake of Siemens in NSN for 1.7-billion-euro ($2.2-billion).
Nokia has now completed the buyout and changed the name of company to Nokia Solutions and Networks while keeping the same acronym NSN. This risky move by Nokia was taken in very tough time but it was required to increase value for Nokia’s shareholders as well as making NSN more independent and focused unit. There is no change in the leadership at this moment.
