The Yahoo! news is coming as a big surprise. In a latest ComScore list of 50 top US web property, Yahoo! has ranked number one beating Google for the first time after a long period. Yahoo! was once the top web property but since April 2008, Google heavily dominated this position over anyone else. But it seems that Yahoo! days are back.
Yahoo! has been in news lately since Marissa Mayer joined as a President and CEO. For all good reasons, Yahoo! has been doing very well. But no one would have imagined that Yahoo! would beat Google to become #1 web property in US.
The reason of this jump is not yet known to ComScore itself. Just after this news came out, People started thinking that recent Tumblr acquisition might be the reason of this jump but ComScore has cleared that Tumblr traffic is not combined with Yahoo! in this report.
